Room Number 404
Do you have a special number that comes into your life and repeats?
It all started on 4th April 2009 when I walked up the aisle and got married to my then-husband, or so I thought. I mostly had a lovely day, but when I got to the top of the aisle. I suddenly felt faint and disappeared into a moment, as if into a different dimension, but I brought myself back and continued with the wedding.
It wasn’t until 2014 that the number reappeared in a very weird way. I had a very sudden divorce in September 2014, no ordinary break-up, as we were just about to meet our two adopted children. We had been through two years of the adoption process, and the day before, my then-husband had changed his mind. Three weeks later, I was sectioned in a psychiatric ward with an acute stress reaction and the room number, yes, you guessed it, room 0404.
I’ve been in hotel rooms with the number 404. I’ve gone back down to reception and said, “This isn’t my room”, and they replied, “Oh no, it isn’t,” and gave me another room without question.
The 404 sign goes on, and I won’t go further into the circumstances; that’s saying it has been significant to me.

In my research, I am reminded of the 4 leaf clover, a lucky symbol. The 4 leaf clover is a rare genetic anomaly of a three-leaf clover, widely recognised as a symbol of good luck, faith, hope, and love. Often associated with Irish culture and St. Patrick's Day, each leaf represents a specific virtue, or as a "good-luck charm" to ward off evil spirits.
So maybe that’s it after all, for me to embrace the 4’s in my life and see that I am protected and guided all along, just as you are. To trust in the divine outcomes the universe brings to me.
